THE NOTICE: in the framework of the VI round of calls for proposals for Digital Europe, it concerns the specific Objective 2, which aims to strengthen the EU's capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI), as a crucial driver for the digital transformation of public and private sectors and is connected to the EU Data Strategy.

This Topic will develop and implement the 3D Competence Center, as a rich and focused reference place for 3D, XR, AI, virtual worlds and other advanced technologies for the digital transformation of cultural heritage institutions, with the aim of taking advantage of the opportunities offered by these technologies and share best practices on technical, legal and online publishing requirements, in particular data standardization in cooperation with the industry.

TYPE OF GRANT: Simple grants - contribution: 50% of eligible costs

2. 1+ MILLION GENOMES: sustainability and adoption - ID: DIGITAL-2024-CLOUD-DATA-AI-06-GENOME

The action will support the work of Member States to enable the creation and operation of a European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (EDIC) on genomics.

TYPE OF GRANT: Support and coordination actions: 100% of eligible costs

3. DATA SPACE FOR AGRICULTURE (deployment) - ID: DIGITAL-2024-CLOUD-DATA-AI-06-AGRISPACE

The action will support the creation of a secure and reliable data space to allow the agricultural sector to share and access data transparently, enabling an increase in its economic and environmental performance. Sharing public and private data will provide a basis for applications and new services that will help achieve the objectives of the European Data Strategy, the Green Deal and the Common Agricultural Policy.

TYPE OF GRANT: Simple grants - contribution: 50% of eligible costs

THE CALL: Aims to promote carbon neutrality and sustainable growth 

UNTIL 27 June 2024: it is possible to participate in the call for projects as part of Eurogia2030, the Eureka Cluster at the forefront of research and development of low-carbon technologies. 

THE NOTICE > aims to support transnational collaboration projects in applications that will support economic growth and benefit society, achieving the following Objectives:

PROPOSALS IN THE SPACE FIELD: for waste management it is set for 17 May 2024

IT WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 17 MAY 2024 > the European Space Agency (ESA) Call for "Kick-Start" Projects, relating to waste management, for services within the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) value chain.

WASTE DISPOSAL: carries serious risks to health and environmental degradation and the circular approach requires establishing additional processes and tools to manage residual waste streams. In this context, the call is open to companies that intend to develop applications and services in the space sector, relating to the digitalisation and sustainability of the Waste-to-Energy value chain, mainly in Europe and beyond.

ESA will: Fund 6-month 'kick start' projects that have the potential to lead to demonstration projects and scalable feasibility studies. The proposed Services must use Satellite Data or Space Technologies.

THE PROJECTS: will be financed at 75% by ESA up to a maximum of 60,000 Euros per contract.

THE SCHOLARSHIPS: FOR RESEARCH - SUPPORT THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF A NEW GENERATION OF SCIENTISTS: who work in the field of Nuclear Fusion

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN: for the 2025 EUROfusion Bernard Bigot Scholarships.

THE EUROfusion BERNARD BIGOT RESEARCH GRANTS: support the education and training of a new generation of scientists working in the field of nuclear fusion in line with the European Research Roadmap to the Realization of Fusion Energy. The scholarships are named after Dr. Bernard Bigot, former Director General of the ITER Organization from 2015 to 2022. 

THE SCHOLARSHIPS WILL FINANCE: Individual postdoctoral research projects for 2 years, starting in 2025.

THE GRANT WILL CONTRIBUTE: to the salaries, research and training activities of up to 10 early career researchers.

CAN PARTICIPATE: Researchers and engineers of all nationalities holding a doctoral degree (PhD) who have completed their doctorate and defended their thesis in the two years preceding the application deadline.

THE APPLICANT: must be employed by a member of the EUROfusion Consortium or one of its affiliated bodies during the grant period.

THE NETWORK PROMOTES THE USE OF HPC IN THE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECTOR: Developing the skills needed for HPC applications

UNTIL 14 MAY 2024 > THE DIGITAL-EUROHPC-JU-2024-NCC-02-01 CALL IS OPEN: which aims to extend the existing European Network of the European Network of National Competence Centers for HPC (NCC).

THE OBJECTIVE IS TO FINANCE NCC PROJECTS ALREADY EXISTING IN THE COUNTRIES PARTICIPATING IN THE EuroHPC JU: which are not currently financed by the Programme. In particular, the NCCs will provide HPC services to industry (in particular to Small and Medium Enterprises), to the Academic sector and to Public Administrations, providing tailor-made solutions for a wide range of users, facilitating and promoting the wider adoption of the 'HPC in Europe. A NOTICE TO STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITY OF WORKERS' ORGANIZATIONS: to face new employment and social challenges

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION HAS LAUNCHED A NEW CALL FOR PROJECTS RELATING TO INFORMATION AND TRAINING MEASURES FOR: workers' organisations, with a deadline of 16 April 2024 

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CALL: is to strengthen the capacity of workers' organizations to face, at EU/transnational level, new challenges related to changes in the world of work and social dialogue.

PROJECTS THAT ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING ISSUES WILL BE PARTICULARLY APPRECIATED:

IMPLEMENTATION AT COMMUNITY OR NATIONAL LEVEL: of autonomous social partner agreements concluded at EU level;

RESPONSE TO THE EMPLOYMENT: social and economic CONSEQUENCES of crisis situations

THE CALL WILL FUND ACTIVITIES SUCH AS: conferences, seminars, round tables, studies, surveys, publications, training courses, development of training tools, networking, development and exchange of best practices.

PROJECTS CAN BE SUBMITTED: individually or in consortium.

IN THE FIRST CASE: single applicant can only be an organization of the social partners representing workers at European level established in one of the EU member states.

IN THE SECOND CASE > THE CONSORTIUM MUST BE MADE UP OF A COORDINATOR AND AT LEAST ONE CO-BENEFICIARIES: coordinator must be an organization of the social partners representing workers at European, national or regional level established in one of the EU member states. If the coordinator is not a representative workers' organization at European level, the consortium must involve at least one organization from an eligible country other than that of the coordinator and one social partner organization at European level. Co-beneficiaries can be established in EU states or candidate countries.

SOCIAL PARTIES: non-profit organisations, universities and research institutes, public authorities and international organizations can participate in the projects as co-beneficiaries, affiliated entities or associated organisations.

THE PROPOSED PROJECTS: must have a duration of between 12 and 36 months.

THE EU CONTRIBUTION: can cover up to 90% of the total eligible costs of the project. The requested grant is expected to be between €150,000 and €700,000.

THE OVERALL BUDGET: available for the Call is equal to €6,450,000. The EU Commission intends to finance 15-20 projects
