INFORMATION AND TRAINING MEASURES FOR WORKERS' ORGANIZATIONS
A NOTICE TO STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITY OF WORKERS' ORGANIZATIONS: to face new employment and social challenges

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION HAS LAUNCHED A NEW CALL FOR PROJECTS RELATING TO INFORMATION AND TRAINING MEASURES FOR: workers' organisations, with a deadline of 16 April 2024
THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CALL: is to strengthen the capacity of workers' organizations to face, at EU/transnational level, new challenges related to changes in the world of work and social dialogue.
PROJECTS THAT ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING ISSUES WILL BE PARTICULARLY APPRECIATED:
IMPLEMENTATION AT COMMUNITY OR NATIONAL LEVEL: of autonomous social partner agreements concluded at EU level;
IMPLEMENTATION OF WORK PROGRAMS: of existing European Social Dialogue Committees.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES ARE THE FOLLOWING:
MEASURES THAT HELP TO ADDRESS THE: employment, social and economic CHALLENGES identified in the European Pillar of Social Rights;
MODERNIZATION OF THE LABOR MARKET: job creation and youth employment, employment in small and medium-sized enterprises;
NEW FORMS OF WORK: including Digital Work Platforms;
QUALITY OF WORK: including fair working conditions, anticipation, preparation and management of change and restructuring processes;
DIGITALIZATION OF THE ECONOMY AND SOCIETY: (including artificial intelligence);
TRANSITION TOWARDS AN ECONOMY: climate neutral;
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT: including reskilling and upskilling;
PROFESSIONAL MOBILITY WITHIN THE EU: migration, youth employment, health and safety at work;
MODERNIZATION OF SOCIAL PROTECTION SYSTEMS: including access to social protection for atypical workers;
CONCILIATION BETWEEN WORK AND FAMILY LIFE: gender equality, fight against discrimination, active inclusion and decent work, healthier and longer working life;
RESPONSE TO THE EMPLOYMENT: social and economic CONSEQUENCES of crisis situations
THE CALL WILL FUND ACTIVITIES SUCH AS: conferences, seminars, round tables, studies, surveys, publications, training courses, development of training tools, networking, development and exchange of best practices.
PROJECTS CAN BE SUBMITTED: individually or in consortium.
IN THE FIRST CASE: single applicant can only be an organization of the social partners representing workers at European level established in one of the EU member states.
IN THE SECOND CASE > THE CONSORTIUM MUST BE MADE UP OF A COORDINATOR AND AT LEAST ONE CO-BENEFICIARIES: coordinator must be an organization of the social partners representing workers at European, national or regional level established in one of the EU member states. If the coordinator is not a representative workers' organization at European level, the consortium must involve at least one organization from an eligible country other than that of the coordinator and one social partner organization at European level. Co-beneficiaries can be established in EU states or candidate countries.
SOCIAL PARTIES: non-profit organisations, universities and research institutes, public authorities and international organizations can participate in the projects as co-beneficiaries, affiliated entities or associated organisations.
THE PROPOSED PROJECTS: must have a duration of between 12 and 36 months.
THE EU CONTRIBUTION: can cover up to 90% of the total eligible costs of the project. The requested grant is expected to be between €150,000 and €700,000.
THE OVERALL BUDGET: available for the Call is equal to €6,450,000. The EU Commission intends to finance 15-20 projects
