FUNDED BY HORIZON EUROPE > THE XR4ED PROJECT: has published two Open Calls, a Call for Developers and a Call for Pilots, with a deadline set for July 3, 2024.

XR4ED: aims to unite the Educational Technology (EdTech) and Extended Reality (XR) communities to create a reference platform in Europe dedicated to learning and training through XR technologies. The Platform aims to be a central access point for existing solutions and aims to position Europe at the forefront of educational technologies.

 THE CALL FOR DEVELOPERS: aims to develop new solutions and components for the platform.

 THE CALL FOR PILOTS: aims to implement pilot projects and demonstrate the benefits of adopting XR technologies in educational contexts.

THE THEMATIC AREAS FOR THE OPEN CALLS ARE:

• Awareness of Climate Change and Biodiversity Challenges
• Training of Young Professionals and Upskilling

CAN PARTICIPATE: Start-ups - Small and Medium Enterprises - Mid-cap - Non-Profit Organizations and Organizations such as: Schools - High Schools - Universities and Professional Training Institutes (VET) that work with XR Technologies or that Promote Digital Solutions for Qlearning. 

》》》》》》THE TOTAL ALLOCATED BUDGET IS €4,600,000.
 THE SELECTED PROJECTS: Will receive up to €230,000 each, plus mentoring sessions, workshops and other services to scale their solutions. The intention is to finance 20 projects lasting 12 months.

THE PROPOSALS: must aim to reduce the environmental impact of zero-emission vehicles and may include challenges regarding the production, distribution, storage and use of zero-emission vehicles. 

 THE CALL AIMS TO PROMOTE PROJECTS THAT SUPPORT A RESILIENT HYDROGEN VALUE CHAIN ​​IN THE EU THAT PROMOTE A SUSTAINABLE AND DECARBONIZED ENERGY SYSTEM > BY SATISFYING AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

• ADOPT PROCESSES AND TECHNOLOGIES: aims to promote the efficiency of Electromobility value chains, opening markets for green technologies and digital services,

• GO INTERNATIONAL: the objective is to facilitate the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Canadian and US markets of the electromobility sector.

• TRAIN TO FOSTER UP-AND RESKILLING: aims to encourage training and reskilling of the workforce, attracting talent in the Electromobility sector.

CAN PARTICIPATE: START-UPS and Small and Medium Enterprises active in the Electromobility Sector (with priority to sectors such as cars, heavy vehicles, water transport, guided air transport, railways, active mobility and logistics) and established in the territories included in the scope of E-BOOST, including EU Member States, some EEA countries and other associated countries.

THE NOTICE OFFERS FINANCING THROUGH: a lump sum that can reach €20,000 for individual applicants and €40,000 for consortia, with an overall limit of €61,000.

THE CALL: launched as part of the activities of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) It will finance pioneering training programs

As part of the Deep Tech Talent Initiative, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology - EIT has published an open call aimed at funding training programs.

THE EIT INITIATIVE: Intends to promote Collaborative Proposals for the Training of 1,000,000 People in the European Union in advanced Technologies that have a high impact on society.

THE CALL: It intends to fund up to 20 projects working on the future of training and capacity building in Deep Tech across Europe.

All Partners will need to show a real commitment to advanced technologies and adhere to the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative Covenant at the time of proposal submission. Partners may neither have received funding from Horizon Europe relating to the same action nor be Knowledge and Innovation Communities - KICs of the EIT.

FOR TOPICS 1-5 the Duration of the Proposed Projects: must be between 24-36 months, while for Topic 6 between 36-48 months.

THE NOTICE IS ADDRESSED TO: Legal Persons - Public and Private - Active in the Education and Training - Research and Innovation Sectors or in the world of work.

THESE ENTITIES MUST BE ESTABLISHED IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES: EU States (including OCT), EFTA/EEA Countries and Third Countries associated with the Program indicated in this document. In the case of Projects relating to Topic 6, the subjects involved can also be established in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro.

THE PROJECTS: must be presented by a Consortium made up of at least 3 entities from three different EU Member States or third countries associated with the Erasmus+ programme.

THE EU GRANT: can cover up to 80% of the costs of the Project, for a maximum of 1 million euros.
