DEEP TECH TALENT INITIATIVE: EIT Call for deep tech training programs launched

THE CALL: launched as part of the activities of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) It will finance pioneering training programs

As part of the Deep Tech Talent Initiative, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology - EIT has published an open call aimed at funding training programs.

THE EIT INITIATIVE: Intends to promote Collaborative Proposals for the Training of 1,000,000 People in the European Union in advanced Technologies that have a high impact on society.

THE CALL: It intends to fund up to 20 projects working on the future of training and capacity building in Deep Tech across Europe. 

》》》》》THE PROPOSALS ARE AIMED AT GUARANTEEING INNOVATIVE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES - OF QUALITY AND ABLE TO FILL THE GAP IN DEEP TECH SKILLS - THEY MUST CONCERNS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SECTORS OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES:

• Advanced Computing / Quantum Computing

• Advanced Materials

• Artificial Intelligence Applied to Specific Sectors

• IT Security

• Robotics

• Semiconductors (Microchips)

• Clean Technologies

• Immersive Technologies

THE TRAINING ACTIVITIES > PLANNED FOR A MAXIMUM DURATION OF 10 MONTHS - WILL INCLUDE 2 PHASES: 

• PHASE 1 - creation and validation of training programs

• PHASE 2 - launch and execution of activities

THE following CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE NOTICE: Consortia of at least two Participants including training institutes, non-profit organisations, start-ups and companies from European Union member countries and associated with Horizon Europe. All Partners will need to show a real commitment to advanced technologies and adhere to the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative Covenant at the time of proposal submission. Partners may neither have received funding from Horizon Europe relating to the same action nor be Knowledge and Innovation Communities - KICs of the EIT.

THE BUDGET: available amounts to a maximum of €2,000,000, for a contribution between €100,000 and €150,000 per Proposal.

THE NOTICE: will remain open until 20 June 2024.
